  • WHAT IS DINS SANTI TAURA?

    DINS Santi Taura is Chef Santi Taura's most personal project. DINS cooks solely and exclusively about Mallorca's history, its products, its recipes and the memory of the island's gastronomy.

  • WHY DID HE LEAVE LLOSETA?

    Santi Taura has not left Lloseta – his central kitchen is still there. He has simply merged Lloseta's two restaurants, creating a single one, DINS Santi Taura, moving it to Palma.

  • WHERE IN PALMA?

    Santi Taura and his team have moved to the district of La Calatrava, located atop the city walls just 500 metres from Palma Cathedral. Specifically, it is located in the hotel El Llorenç Parc de la Mar.

  • WHY MOVE TO PALMA

    The opportunity arose to take another step forward in our history as a restaurant and it materialised in a historic enclave, the old Jewish quarter of Sa Calatrava, which we believe is the ideal setting to continue to showcase the potential of Mallorcan cuisine. The DINS Santi Taura restaurant occupies a space in the El Llorenç Parc de la Mar hotel.

TRANSPORT

  • CAN I REACH THE RESTAURANT BY CAR?

    Sa Calatrava is a restricted traffic area. Access to the area is only allowed to authorised vehicles with the corresponding ACIRE card, or those exempt from obtaining authorisation due to their special characteristics, motorbikes, bicycles, holders of parking cards for persons with reduced mobility, etc.

  • ARE THERE ANY CITY BUS LINES THAT TAKE YOU NEAR THE RESTAURANT?

    EMT Bus lines 15, 23, 25, 29, 30, 31 and 41 stop at the 458 – Porta del Camp bus stop, located about 200 metres from the restaurant.

  • WHERE CAN I PARK MY VEHICLE NEAR THE RESTAURANT?

    On request we can offer you a parking service for €18 per vehicle. You will have to drive your vehicle to the hotel entrance, where our valet service will take charge. Les Avingudes car park is 600 metres from the restaurant. The Saba Sa Gerreria car park, located in the Plaça Porta Sant Antoni, is about 700 metres from the restaurant, as is the car park in the Plaça Major. The Parc de la Mar underground garage is 400 metres from the restaurant. Parking is also available in the blue zone around the Avenidas petrol station, located about 200 metres from the restaurant.

CANCELLATIONS

  • WHAT HAPPENS IF I AM LATE?

    Punctuality is essential for the smooth running of the dining room and kitchen service. If you are going to arrive late, please call the hotel El Llorenç (+34 971 67 77 77 70) urgently and inform them of your exact arrival time. Reservations that are delayed without prior notice will be cancelled 20 minutes after the scheduled time. Reservations that are more than 40 minutes late in arriving with prior notice will be considered null and void, and we reserve the right to accept or accommodate them depending on availability on the same day. In both cases, if you do not show up, you will lose your right of reservation and we will apply the cancellation policy that you accepted when you made your reservation.

  • WHAT HAPPENS IF I DON’T SHOW UP?

    According to the cancellation policy, the restaurant's reservation system will automatically charge your credit card an amount of €120 per guest booked.

  • CAN I CANCEL MY RESERVATION?

    Yes,of course. You can cancel at any time from the link in the email or SMS you received at the time of making your reservation. If you cancel more than 48 hours before the time of the reservation, there will be no charge. Only if you cancel within 48 hours prior to the time of the reservation, you will be charged the amount of €120 per person.

  • WHY SHOULD I USE A CREDIT CARD TO MAKE MY RESERVATION? WHAT ARE THE "PRE-AUTHORISATION CONDITIONS"?

    Unfortunately, phantom reservations or “no shows” are an organisational disaster in our restaurant as we cannot rebook tables and our capacity is rather small. So by booking with a credit card guarantee we ensure that your reservation goes ahead and you see that we understand your experience at DINS as a firm commitment.
    The conditions and policies of this process are as follows:
    ·You must provide your credit card details to secure your reservation. Your card will not be charged at this time.
    ·You may cancel or modify your reservation (subject to availability) free of charge up to 48 hours before the scheduled time. If you cancel or change your reservation after the 48-hour time limit, or if you do not show up, the restaurant may automatically charge your card as mentioned above.
    ·The restaurant may cancel any reservation if it reasonably believes that it is fraudulent, abusive or illegal.
    ·Please contact the restaurant if you do not receive a booking confirmation or if any information on the confirmation is incorrect.
    ·All charges or pre-authorisations on your card are made directly between the payment gateway and you, and are processed by Adyen. TheFork is not involved as a party to any transaction and the restaurant has no access to your credit card number.

  • REDUCTION OF THE NUMBER OF DINERS IN THE RESERVATION

    If there is a reduction in the number of diners in the reservation less than 48 hours before the reservation date, cancellation fees equivalent to the stipulated cost per diner will be applied. Any reduction in the number of diners made on the same day of service will be charged in the same way.

IN THE RESTAURANT

  • WHAT IS THE RESTAURANT'S CAPACITY?

    The maximum capacity of the restaurant is 30 diners.

  • WHAT IS THE LAYOUT OF THE RESTAURANT?

    The restaurant is divided into a kitchen/bar for 10 diners and two dining rooms with 4 and 6 tables respectively. At the time of reserving it is advisable to indicate in which area you would like to be accommodated, which will always be subject to availability. The restaurant will never be obliged to accommodate you in the desired area, although we will do everything possible to ensure that this is the case.

  • WHAT DAYS IS DINS SANTI TAURA OPEN?

    In autumn and winter the services are from Wednesday to Thursday evenings only and on Fridays and Saturdays at midday and in the evening. During the summer season, it is open from Tuesday to Friday evenings only and Saturdays at midday and in the evening.   • WHAT TYPE OF CUISINE WILL I FIND?

    Mallorcan and Balearic cuisine, in some cases presented in the traditional way and in others with more contemporary cuisine, presentations or textures, always respecting the original ingredients of the recipes and their historical taste.

  • IS THERE A MENU?

    DINS Santi Taura does not offer an à la carte menu. There is only one tasting menu, ORIGENS, from €120, with a choice of four extra courses and two types of wine pairings.

  • WILL SANTI TAURA BE AT THE RESTAURANT?

    Santi Taura has reduced his restaurants to just one, DINS Santi Taura, with a view to going back to basics, to the origin, and being able to enjoy his cuisine and his patrons to the fullest. Santi Taura assures his presence 99%. At the Urbà restaurant, also located in the Hotel El Llorenç, Santi Taura has his trusted team of chefs at the helm.

  • HOW LONG DOES A MEAL TAKE?

    It will depend on the menu you choose, but it will rarely take less than two hours.

  • IS THERE ONLY A WINE PAIRING OPTION WITH THE MENUS?

    No, we also have a wine cellar with more than 500 wine references as well as cocktails.

  • IF I AM ALLERGIC OR INTOLERANT TO AN INGREDIENT OR DON'T LIKE A PRODUCT, DO YOU HAVE OPTIONS?

    Please also ask your companions and inform us at the time of making your reservation so that we can prepare alternative dishes.
    However, if you or anyone accompanying you has or suffers from severe food intolerances, severe dietary restrictions or does not eat any animal products at all, you should seriously reconsider your booking at DINS as we may not be able to adapt your tasting menu and your experience with us may not be fully satisfactory.

  • IS THERE A VEGETARIAN MENU?

    No, there is no vegetarian menu. Provided we have been notified in advance, we can adapt our tasting menu to exclude meat, fish and/or seafood. Vegan preparations are not available.

  • CAN TWO PEOPLE SHARE ONE MENU?

    Many of our products are difficult to split up and continue to be enjoyed with the same idea with which they were created.
    If you have a small appetite or are looking for something more economical, we suggest you visit the “Restaurant Urbà” in the same Hotel El Llorenç or visit our other establishments, Restaurant U Vicenç or U Mayol, in the Hotel El Vicenç de la Mar.

  • ARE THERE ANY EXTRA CHARGES FOR SUBSTANTIAL CHANGES TO THE MENU?

    We do not envisage any extra charges for the changes outlined in previous questions. We recommend that only in extreme cases such as vegan menus (which exclude all animal derived foods for ethical reasons) or menus with a high number of restrictions that we cannot accommodate for reasons of time or complexity, you decline your reservation at DINS.

  • CAN I ASK FOR ANY CHANGES TO THE MENU ONCE I AM AT THE RESTAURANT?

    We will try to adapt to any situation in an effective way. Last minute changes are not always easily resolved and can delay the pace of service for other diners.

  • HOW MUCH WOULD IT COST ME TO CLOSE DINS FOR A PRIVATE PARTY? HOW MANY PEOPLE COULD I INVITE? COULD YOU MAKE A THEMED MENU FOR THE WHOLE GROUP?

    In special cases, your best option is to contact the DINS Santi Taura team by email and they will personally deal with your request and study the offer.

  • DOES THE RESTAURANT HAVE PRIVATE ROOMS OR MEETING ROOMS?

    The restaurant does not have private rooms or specific meeting rooms. We invite you to visit our restaurants located in the Hotel El Vicenç de la Mar, which does have a meeting room, as well as our catering service, which can offer you other solutions.

  • WHAT IF I AM A SMOKER?

    There’s no problem. If you are going to go outside to smoke during the meal, we recommend that you agree the breaks to be taken with our team at the beginning of the meal and make sure they are short.

  • CAN PICTURES BE TAKEN?

    Yes, you can take photos and videos as long as you do not disturb other guests. The use of flash is discouraged.

  • CAN I COME WITH CHILDREN?

    Unfortunately, children under the age of 16 are not allowed in our restaurant, as DINS Santi Taura currently shares a building with the Hotel El Llorenç Parc de la Mar, which operates under an Adults Only concept.

  • CAN I COME WITH INFANTS?

    Unfortunately our restaurant is located in an Adults Only boutique hotel which does not allow children under the age of 16 or infants. DINS Santi Taura is not the kind of restaurant to come with pushchairs, and we do not have space for pushchairs in the dining room or high chairs for infants.

  • ARE PETS ALLOWED?

    For the comfort of our guests we do not accept pets in the dining room.

  • IS THERE WHEELCHAIR ACCESS AND A TOILET FOR PEOPLE WITH REDUCED MOBILITY?

    Our facilities are adapted to meet the needs of people with reduced mobility. Please let us know when you make your reservation so that we can make your stay more comfortable.
